Kevin:

We thought we would send a quick  e-mail to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.  Kelly is an absolutely wonderful dog, hunter, and family member!  We love her so much, and she obviously loves us in return.  Dave has spent considerable time this past spring and summer with a trainer working Kelly.  She is a very smart dog, and the trainer's "Star Pupil"!!  She did great this fall duck hunting, and Dave's hunting partner is quite impressed.  This past weekend she made a 200 yard retrieve up and over a couple of hills, down an embankment, over a stream, and through a number of snow drifts.  She found the bird dead-on of course!!  We look forward to getting a Kelly a "sister" in 4-5 years from you.  (Please feel free to use us as a reference if you ever need them - we can't say enough good things about Kelly!)

Steven, our son, is over 10 months old already, and Kelly is just great with him.  We thought she would barrel over him, but he's learning to shove her out of the way instead!!  They are a lot of fun to watch together, and Kelly could care less when he crawls over her, pulls on her tail, and tries to eat her food (much to our dismay!) She likes it when he grabs her kong and thinks he's playing with her - he just tries to put it in his mouth instead (again, much to our dismay!)

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a new year full of joy and new puppies too!

Sincerely,
Lauren, Dave, Steven, and Kelly

SENIOR HUNT TEST (QUALIFIED)

Hello Kevin,

I am attaching several pictures of this past weekend's hunt with Gabe to the Chesapeake Bay. The weather turned really cold on the second day .... around 29 degrees, snowing and about a 15 to 20 mile per hour wind. Gabe did a really good job. The picture with the duck was a retrieve of about 80 yards across a mud flat that was as tough as anything I have ever seen.

Thanks again,
Bill
